About The Position

To manufacture high level integrated circuits on GaAs and InP substrates in the 3" wafer fabrication clean room at Keysight Technologies Santa Rosa, CA for the use in World Class Test & Measurement Equipment. The main area specifically is the Backlap area, where GaAs/InP lapping and polishing systems are used to thin wafers mounted on sapphire slides to precise thickness specifications. This is a variable work schedule (VWS) where the employee works 4 days on, 4 days off, 3 days on, and 3 days off. The hours are 9am-9pm. The VWS follows the schedule of: “Front Half Schedule” Day Shift (starting): Monday-Wednesday and Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm

Requirements

Must very detail oriented and have the ability to run precision equipment to comply with critical specifications and other requirements and have the ability to communicate with engineering in regards to anomalies
Ability to lean quickly and work precisely from written instructions regarding safety, chemical handling and wafer handling
Ability to be on standing and moving for long periods of time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent manual dexterity.
Ability to perform detailed inspections to verify proper processes has been completed
The ability to work in a cleanroom environment which requires specialized work clothing
Use of PC required specifically knowledge of the use of Microsoft Excel and other supporting programs such as MS Word
Knowledge of the use of quality control systems and the ability to interpret control charts and other data analysis.
Ability to sustain a high quality of work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives and policies of the company and being comfortable learning new computer systems
Excellent work ethics in terms of attendance, organization, and team skills.
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa, CA

Responsibilities

Handles and mixes hazardous chemicals and slurry for the use of wet lapping and polishing equipment following set guidelines and using personal protective equipment.
Ability to run specialized lapping and polishing equipment and verify proper thicknesses with the use of Digimatic drop measurement tools.
Performs detailed measurements and data entry in order to determine complete and proper processing that meet strict specifications set forth by Process Documentation and Engineering.
Ability to multitask and operate multiple equipment in processes that have very stringent timing across several platforms.
Uses multiple hand tools, measurement tools, and computer software specific to Backlap process
Supports engineering with manufacturing special tests and or new product introduction.
Performs daily, weekly and monthly qualification of tools and process and chemical orders.
