About The Position

This role provides support to Manufacturing Operations in both Liquids and Salt departments. The primary responsibilities involve operating various manufacturing equipment, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, data accuracy, resource management, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to drive a forklift and have forklift certification
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for long periods of time (6+ hours/day)

Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment including box maker, print and apply label applicators, check weigher, case sealers, palletizer, floor and table scales, hand bag sealer, Dump Room, and Quality Verification Stations.
  • Drive a forklift for staging and delivering materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader and/or Manager/Supervisor.
  • Follow all applicable facility health, safety, and environmental requirements and procedures.
  • Report incidents and/or injuries per the PepsiCo Employee Handbook.
  • Address safety risks immediately.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, GEHSMS programs and procedures.
  • Actively participate in the near miss/good catch program.
  • Maintain a safe working condition by following, using, promoting, and enforcing all FDA, OSHA and EPA regulations, PepsiCo's GMP and safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Use PPE or other safety equipment while performing any job.
  • Complete all documentation relating to sanitation, production, and production set up accurately.
  • Conduct QC checks for weight, specific gravity, batch codes, date codes, and packaging/labeling appearance.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Processes and Food Safety Policies.
  • Ensure paperwork and process accuracy.
  • Meet department efficiency KPI on a period and quarterly basis.
  • Comply with Global Control Standards (GCS).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement around water usage, energy usage, and waste to landfill.
  • Communicate diligently with the Team leader and Teammates regarding operational issues.
  • Actively participate in Team Meetings and Team Events.
