About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician will apply various machining and/or weld technologies and skills to ensure quality & timely completion of work orders. Grip-Tite will train the right people with sound virtues regardless of prior machining / welding experience. Requirements

Manufacturing/Industrial environment exposure preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent or at least 1-year experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, SOPs, and other instruction manuals.
Take the initiative to keep all areas clean and safe.
Follow applicable housekeeping and safety procedures.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds each, with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet high.
Provides assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects.
Must wear personal protective equipment - ear plugs, steel toe shoes and protective glasses.
Maintains a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments.

Responsibilities

Operates various machinery (mix of new and old) used to produce Grip-Tite parts and products.
Works in a variety of manufacturing cells that utilize saws, drills, welders, plasma cutters, punches, etc.
May be trained on stamping presses or laser operations.
May operate a forklift as needed.
Maintains equipment and work areas.
Keeps area clean and free of safety hazards.
Must be able to fill out required paperwork completely and accurately.
Must have a positive attitude and ensure and holds oneself accountable to work as one team to ensure Grip-Tite's overall success.
