A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee daily production activities within a regulated processing environment. This role is responsible for supporting workforce performance, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring production goals are achieved efficiently and safely. Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations
  • Understanding of workplace safety and quality systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in food manufacturing or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily workflow to ensure production schedules are met
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust resources based on operational needs
  • Lead shift start-up meetings and facilitate effective shift transitions
  • Support efficient production flow while minimizing downtime
  • Train, mentor, and support production personnel
  • Foster a positive and accountable workplace culture
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance guidance
  • Encourage employee engagement and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with food safety programs and operational procedures
  • Promote adherence to sanitation, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Support internal inspections and external audits
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and waste reduction efforts
  • Review performance metrics and help implement corrective actions
  • Contribute ideas that support long-term operational success
  • Partner with maintenance teams to address equipment-related issues
  • Coordinate with quality, inventory, and supply chain departments
  • Communicate operational updates and production concerns to leadership
  • Assist in resolving challenges that impact daily operations
