About The Position

The Manufacturing Systems Support Technician provides technical support for manufacturing systems, production equipment, and information technology used in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining hardware, software, network connectivity, and manufacturing applications to ensure reliable production operations, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience supporting computer systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with automated assembly processes for automotive components.
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Basic Robot (3-axis and 6-axis) troubleshooting and programming.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Ethernet.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Experience supporting MES, ERP
  • Familiarity with industrial networking, PLCs, and automation equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing systems, automated equipment, production workstations, barcode scanners, label printers, industrial PCs, and related equipment.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing software, operating systems, and hardware.
  • Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and production reporting applications.
  • Respond to production support requests and resolve system issues that impact manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity for manufacturing equipment, including switches, wireless devices, and industrial network components.
  • Perform software updates, equipment replacements, system backups, and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and equipment inventories.
  • Assist with deployment of new manufacturing technologies, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Support data collection systems, handheld devices, printers, and automation interfaces.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to engineering, vendors, or senior IT personnel when necessary.
  • Follow company safety, quality, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
