About The Position

The Manufacturing Support Operator II supports daily production and product testing activities for ZOLL Medical products in an experienced-level capacity. The role builds, repairs, and reworks complex test fixtures, cables, and PCB assemblies; troubleshoots manufacturing failures; and supports laboratory investigations, root-cause analysis, and yield improvement. It also contributes to process development and improvement, implementation and validation of process and product documentation, development of manufacturing tooling and fixtures, and preventative maintenance and calibration programs.

Requirements

• High school degree with experience in electronics, or a Vocational/Technical degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of direct floor-support experience in an electromechanical and electronics assembly and test environment, including troubleshooting and operating automated production equipment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to build and rework complex PCB assemblies using surface-mount and through-hole components.
• Ability to build and rework complex cables and test fixtures using wiring diagrams, assembly diagrams, or bills of materials.
• Ability to read and work with technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.

Nice To Haves

• IPC Soldering Certification.
• Familiarity with operating in an ISO-9000 and Lean Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily production support by building and repairing complex test fixtures and cables.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing failures and conduct laboratory activities that support root-cause analysis and corrective-action identification.
• Support yield-improvement activities.
• Assist with process development and improvement activities.
• Support implementation and validation of process and product documentation.
• Develop and implement tooling and fixtures for Manufacturing department needs.
• Support and implement preventative maintenance and calibration programs.
