About The Position

The Manufacturing Support Engineer will be a part of the Product Engineering team for Large High Voltage Motors. In this role, you will work closely with factory personnel and Assembly Department processes to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implement containment actions, and support permanent corrective solutions. You will serve as a key liaison between Manufacturing and Product Engineering, driving root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and design or process enhancements that improve product quality, safety, and manufacturing efficiency. The Manufacturing Support Engineer will effectively communicate technical topics, issue resolutions, and improvement opportunities to the Product Engineering team and other cross-functional stakeholders. Position is based in Norwood, Ohio and requires in-office attendance five days per week to provide direct support to manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with BOM management, engineering changes, and ERP systems.
  • Understanding of electric motors, rotating equipment, or related industrial products.

Responsibilities

  • Track, prioritize, and communicate open manufacturing issues.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and support shop-floor operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Update BOMs, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Identify and drive process, quality, and design improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Support continuous improvement and engineering change initiatives.
