  • Continuous Learning – Required to stay abreast of new electronic and mechanical assembly techniques and processes defined both by internal design and external customer requirements.
  • Decision Making & Problem Solving – Required to respond to ever-changing production requirements, quality issues and process demands effectively and efficiently
  • Flexibility – Required to handle the often-multi-tasked manufacturing environment where multiple hats (Engineer, Inspector, Doc Control, Tool Designer, Assembler, etc) on a daily basis.
  • Initiative – Required to take the lead on all aspects of the job requirements, with minimal supervision and maximum efficiency
  • Technical – Ability to use hand tools for assembling and dis-assembling delicate components (electromechanical) and understand the physics involved in the operation of the devices for Failure Analysis and Root Cause Investigation
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing and processing operations, preferably in cryocoolers, infrared vision systems, vacuum assemblies and tight tolerance hardware
  • Electromechanical hardware assembly
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Able to read and work with manufacturing documentation
  • Able to read, write and converse in English
  • Experience with handling ESD hardware
  • Basic use of metrology equipment (calipers, rulers, micrometers, microscopes, multimeters, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of electrical and pressure/vacuum concepts
  • Performs production line support, engineering tests, equipment validation, and production hardware processing as directed by engineering
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
