About The Position

AWS is seeking a Tech Lead for Manufacturing & Supply Chain to join their Center of Excellence (CoE) within the Automotive & Manufacturing Industry Business Unit. This role involves owning the technical vision and go-to-market execution for smart manufacturing and supply chain solutions, leveraging cloud and AI technologies. The Tech Lead will act as a senior specialist solution architect, providing deep subject matter expertise to customers and defining how factories and supply networks will operate in the future. The position is ideal for individuals enthusiastic about shaping the future of manufacturing and supply chains through cloud and AI adoption.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with end user or developer communities
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP and Cloud ERP Private
  • Experience in a professional field or military
  • Experience working with systems integrators and consulting companies to achieve sales
  • Master's degree or above in relevant field
  • 3+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience, or AWS Associate level certification
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, or experience with retrofits, launches, or automation deployments
  • Understanding of security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity
  • Technical knowledge of common enterprise application and commercial software used across the Manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technology strategy execution for manufacturing and supply chain use cases, translating industry challenges into AWS-native solutions.
  • Develop and deliver Go-to-Market (GTM) assets, including reference architectures, white papers, workshops, code samples, and thought leadership content.
  • Enable both customers and field teams through the creation and dissemination of GTM assets.
  • Collaborate with product, partner, and sales organizations to align priorities and accelerate customer outcomes.
  • Engage directly with customers as a trusted technical advisor, demonstrating possibilities and driving lighthouse deployments.
  • Act as an ambassador for customers within AWS, articulating customer needs by synthesizing observations from customer engagements and industry trends (industrial AI, digital twins, connected operations) to inform the strategic roadmap.
  • Possess deep domain expertise in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and/or industrial technology.
  • Thrive at the intersection of cloud technology, AI, and real-world operational outcomes.
  • Translate complex architectures into business value for executives and practitioners.
  • Set direction in ambiguous situations and rally cross-functional teams to deliver.
