About The Position

This internship program focuses on Supply Chain Management within a fast-paced plant environment. Interns will contribute to GM's 'Look Ahead' culture by developing strategic perspectives and establishing goals. The role involves problem-solving, utilizing innovation and creativity to drive results, and developing interpersonal skills such as prioritizing, balancing multiple projects, and meeting goals.

Requirements

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Business/Management.
Must be graduating between August 2027 and June 2029.
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
Must be willing to work in a plant environment.

Nice To Haves

Highly proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience.
Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities or service organizations.
Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.).
Exposure to logistics, packaging or manufacturing.
Knowledge of procurement software and databases.
Knowledge of materials management.
Experience with interpreting market data.
Exposure to reading blueprints and understanding basic engineering documents.
Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trust.
