About The Position

Dynamet Incorporated, a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology, is a prominent supplier of titanium alloy products, serving industries such as aerospace, medical, and motorsports. The company is dedicated to innovation and quality in specialty metal manufacturing, supported by a robust testing and analysis laboratory. Dynamet operates facilities in Washington, Pa., and western Florida.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Prior experience with improving efficiency and operational objectives.
  • Practical understanding of industrial/manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, problem solving and project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
  • Experience directing and supervising others, objectively evaluating performance, training and developing others, and using positive employee-relations practices.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others.
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and teams, including coordination of resources outside of the area of responsibility.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and ever-changing environment with frequently changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year or four-year college degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a metal manufacturing/operational environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations.
  • Guide, direct, and supervise team leads and production employees, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, People, and Cost.
  • Address performance issues promptly.
  • Actively promote all company policies and expectations, particularly safety plans and results.
  • Plan and schedule operations within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain a positive work environment through regular communication and timely response to employee issues.
  • Plan and schedule operations, including personnel schedules, reports, logs, purchasing, and repairs.
  • Develop production plans, including load sheets, scrap, routers, Axiom, reports, dashboards, and work orders.
  • Manage NCR, CAR, SOP, and cost/efficiency projects, including capital budgets and manufacturing improvements.
  • Interface with other functions (Sales, MRP, Manufacturing) to achieve department and company goals.
  • Ensure daily and weekly performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, People, and Cost.
  • Maintain well-organized and productive work areas.
  • Collaborate with others to achieve department and company goals.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
