About The Position
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to join their team in Courtland, AL. In this role, the supervisor will lead and manage a team of manufacturing professionals to achieve schedule execution and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate must be able to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and interpret/translate instructions to mechanics/technicians. Key responsibilities include driving day-to-day improvement activities to support customer needs and enhance operational efficiency, providing guidance and direction to team members to ensure effective collaboration and communication, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and employee development, managing cross-functional manufacturing teams, and monitoring business metrics and performance tracking.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing and/or production.
- Experience informally or formally leading a team.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experiences in areas of component manufacturing, disassembly, assembly, and materials management preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with performance metrics and benchmarking.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
- Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies.
- Kaizen, Kanban, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience, Green Belt Certified
