A Day in the Life In this exciting role as the Manufacturing Supervisor you will lead the manufacturing production activities. You will be responsible for production schedules, procedures and budgets at the North Haven, CT facility. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.

  • Knowledge and experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Barcode labor tracking/material tracing, Statistical Process Control (SPC)/Defect tracking, FDA, ISO, and Device History Record (DHR) requirements and regulations, Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA and basic Cost Accounting.
  • Technical background in Project Management, cost accounting
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience and implementing Lean Manufacturing Projects.
  • Six Sigma background or certification.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g. SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint).
  • Exposure to automation/PLC troubleshooting or equipment maintenance basics.
  • Strong data analysis skills to support production improvements.
  • 3-5 years solid supervisory experience in a high volume Manufacturing setting, medical device industry a plus.
