About The Position

The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead manufacturing technicians to support production and process development activities as needed in the manufacturing suites. This role will also work with engineering and manufacturing sciences teams on process performance and ideas for process improvement along with batch record reviews, SOP revisions, and owning deviations. This role is for 1st shift Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ process development/ manufacturing operations experience or Associate’s degree with at least 7 years’ relevant experience or 10 years on manufacturing operations experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a manufacturing technician team to complete all production activities.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership qualities to continuously motivate the team to function at a high level with first time right mindset.
  • Responsible for full operation of manufacturing equipment to support production.
  • Monitor the manufacturing process, recording observations and key run parameters as needed, and adjusting the process as necessary within batch record or protocol parameters.
  • Provide support to manufacturing runs including sampling, material handling, inventory management, batch record review, equipment cleaning and scheduling of routine runs
  • Apply hands-on experience with equipment upkeep, and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of inventory management, scheduling, sampling, and testing related to manufacturing.
  • Identify, define and execute process improvement projects with minimal guidance
  • Understand and follow GMP guidelines and ensure team is fully trained.
  • Draft deviations, CAPAs, investigations, and change controls as needed
  • Work with cross-functional teams to complete tasks and help implement improvements.
  • Lead GEMBA walks
  • Assist/Lead manufacturing departmental meeting as required.
  • Manage calibrations and work directly with external partners to ensure work is completed on time according to procedures.
  • Supervise direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, training and planning. Assigning and directing work, appraising performance measuring, developing, rewarding and disciplining employees.
