About The Position

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading, developing, and supporting a team of manufacturing operators who produce life-saving medical devices. This position requires a hands-on leader who fosters an inclusive environment, ensures compliance with quality and safety standards, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment. This is a 1st shift position, fully onsite in Billerica MA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ Years of Experience

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience leading or coaching teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a regulated environment (medical device, pharma, biotech, aerospace, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the medical device industry, with knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing metrics.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and supervise a group of Production Associates and Team Leaders
  • Train, develop, and motivate the workforce toward continuous quality improvement, a positive and safe working environment, and cost-effective operations
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
  • Work closely with Night/day Shift Supervisor and Planning to make sure that the right schedule is following, ensuring adequate staffing
  • Improve schedule linearity, reduce cycle times and inventory, reduce costs, and improve employee satisfaction
  • Promote an environment of employee empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement through lean principles, compliance, quality, personal growth and development
  • Participate in performing annual performance reviews, pay adjustments and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all direct report employees
  • Deliver performance coaching and discipline to direct reports
  • Track OEE and Scrap across all processes
  • Update SOP, SWI to improve current process
  • Work on A3 and CAPA Investigation
  • Monitor product quality, react to quality incidents, and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and ongoing informational and improvement team meetings.
  • Monitor compliance to safety rules, work expectations and housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
