Responsibilities

Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources.
Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.
Directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.
Managing people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
Coaching and addressing performance-related issues following progressive discipline for safety, quality, performance, training, and attendance.
Supervising entry-level or semi-skilled hourly employees such as production, craft, and clerical workers.
Coordinating resources and setting daily priorities for the team to ensure task completion and operational objectives are met.
Monitoring daily operations of a unit or sub-unit.
Using judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
Applying operational business practices and coordinating with other closely related areas to improve efficiency.
Directing operations of work units.
Following all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
Reporting to person of authority any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
Participating in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
Following all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Reporting any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
