Requirements

College degree or High School diploma with 7+ years’ experience required
Prior supervision experience in a union environment
Experience with Lean Manufacturing
Ability to utilize process sheets, blueprints, and forecast sheets
Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in welding, painting, vehicle repair or assembly is a plus

Responsibilities

Supervise multiple manufacturing departments to provide efficient utilization of personnel
Maintain quality workmanship and production schedule
Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety rules
Problem solving including identifying root causes, gathering data, and facilitating solutions
Develop new processes and procedures to promote a lean environment
Backup for supervisors as needed
Communicate with shop Union committee as needed
Support Supervisors in daily operations
Plan for future builds and line rates
Manage OME for assigned area
Support and improve AM General’s Production System (APS)
