About The Position

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a 2026 summer student to join our manufacturing team in Shipping & Receiving! The Flexco Summer Internship Program has been designed to assist undergraduate students gain exposure to the Manufacturing Industry, provide hands-on experience in their field of interest, and develop professional skills for their future careers. The Shipping & Receiving team is seeking a motivated student to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Summer Student will have the opportunity to expand their professional development, collaborate on a team, and work on a manufacturing floor. Main job duties involve picking customer orders to prepare them for packing, inventory reviews, putting stock away, and communicating any inventory discrepancies for resolution.

Requirements

18 years or older due to OSHA standards
Full-time, on-site availability (40 hours/week)
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
Fall 2026 registration confirmed for college/university

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment (forklift, shipping, cycle counting, inventory, RF Scanner)
Experience with picking and/or packing
Capable of following safety guidelines and regulations
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail
Dependability and follow-through on completion of tasks
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions

Responsibilities

Picking and preparing Flexco products accurately and efficiently to assist in fulfilling customer orders and shipping deadlines.
Shadowing and assisting in routine inventory reviews and cycle counts to maintain exact stock levels.
Putting away incoming inventory in designated storage locations, following department standards.
Maintaining an organized and clean work area and adhering to OSHA and company safety policies during all work activities.
Learning what it means to work on a cross-functional team to succeed in problem-solving by working with various shop floor employees and Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer orders are correct and punctual.
