About The Position

The Manufacturing Specialist performs detailed and complex routine business activities and investigates and recommends ways to improve the efficiency of daily job activities. The role supports safe, quality-focused production and material flow, meets daily production levels, and contributes to continuous improvement. The position is in the Manufacturing Department at AISIN Manufacturing IL, LLC, in Marion, Illinois, and is listed for first- or second-shift work.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports.
Ability to perform basic math and measurements and gauge parts.
Ability to understand production sheets.
Flexible and capable of adapting to change.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or remove up to 35 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, and handling parts and materials.

Responsibilities

Ensure machines are functional and safe to operate.
Maintain the quality of parts being produced and report quality problems.
Perform 5S activities.
Perform material handling functions for raw materials and finished goods.
Assist with inventories.
Control material flow using standardized work.
Report safety problems immediately and operate equipment safely.
Avoid passing defects to the next process.
Perform Kaizen duties and make improvement suggestions.
Report daily line problems and countermeasures to the Off Line Team Leader.
Meet daily production levels.
Determine correct shipping and receiving requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned to help achieve section, department, or company plans.
