About The Position

At Bloom Energy, we are dedicated to creating a world powered by clean, reliable, and affordable energy. We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team, focusing on pioneering solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and solid oxide electrolyzer (SOEC) technologies. This role is a hands-on production support position responsible for ensuring manufacturing lines meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets. The ideal candidate will be an expert on the shop floor, adept at troubleshooting, ensuring process stability, supporting operators, and solving problems in real-time. This individual will act as the primary manufacturing engineering support when production is at risk, ensuring lines operate safely and efficiently. The role reports to the Senior Manager-Manufacturing Engineering and is based in Newark, DE, with a specific weekend shift schedule (Friday - Sunday, 6 AM - 6 PM).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a high-complexity production environment.
  • Computer systems knowledge including proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing, assembly operations, or production environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated success resolving production issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret designs to fixtures and tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methods, and TIG welding techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct hands-on process support to manufacturing lines to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
  • Monitor production performance and proactively identify issues that could impact throughput, quality, or delivery.
  • Support refinement of standard work procedures and audit process compliance.
  • Promote consistency and repeatability across lines, shifts, and production teams.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Implement meaningful improvements to tooling, fixtures, and operator methods.
  • Provide concise and actionable turnover reports that enable seamless continuation of troubleshooting and recovery activities.
