About The Position

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is a world leader in advanced semiconductor technology. As a member of the T1 Manufacturing Operations Shift team, the employee is responsible for performing activities that improve the flow of production through sections of the line, during their shift, while achieving world-class speed and quality. Duties include troubleshooting advanced production issues through the use of a computer, making high-level decisions based on best known methods or operating procedures, tracking, documenting, and communicating production roadblocks, and working as a team leader with outside departments to improve manufacturing performance. High energy with a focus on safety, quality, and speed is necessary.

Requirements

Intermediate computer skills (>30 WPM typing ability).
Self-motivated and strong critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Effective Communication and presentation skills.
Ability to both follow and create documented procedures.
Ability to wear a cleanroom smock for an entire shift and lift up to 25lb.

Responsibilities

Routinely conducts intermediate data analysis of manufacturing metrics (WPD, tool output, rundown, etc.).
Pinpoint bottleneck areas and take actions to help improve line movement and line balance.
Conduct intermediate troubleshooting and root cause investigation of production roadblocks up to the 1st and 2nd order of a catalyst event.
Work as a team leader both within and outside of the department.
Ability to multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy.
