About The Position

Spartronics is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist I - SMT, an entry-level role responsible for supporting basic SMT line operations such as feeders, paste printing, and machine loading. This position works under close supervision to ensure boards are prepared and processed correctly. The role is in the Aerospace & Defense Industry in Brooksville, Florida, focusing on the manufacturing and assembly of critical components for Aerospace, Defense, Medical, and Commercial applications. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer literacy and ability to follow written instructions.
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to work standing for extended periods.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.
Lift and carry materials or feeder reels up to 25 lbs.
Stand and walk for extended periods in SMT production areas.
Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
Visual acuity for inspecting boards and components.
Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

Experience in electronics or SMT manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAR).
Basic knowledge of SMT equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

Set up and load feeders, boards, and materials for SMT line operations under supervision.
Operate basic SMT equipment such as solder paste printer and assist with SPI setup.
Visually inspect boards for obvious defects and escalate issues as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of SMT workstations and tools.
Follow detailed work instructions and comply with ESD and safety protocols.
Perform other duties or support other areas as needed based on business requirements or production flow.
