TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an internship in the Sheetmetal Fabrication Department at our Farmington, CT location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning. Internship Duration: Onsite in Farmington, CT from January 2027 - August 2027 At least 24 hours weekly

Requirements

• Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in a related field.
• Analytic skills and thoroughness required
• Good communication skills and creativity are essential
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently is required

Responsibilities

• Participate in development / implementation of various Sheet Metal Department projects specific to the Smart Factory
• Implementation of on time delivery and productivity improvements ideas/tasks e.g. Hook management
• Create current state analysis to define baseline and implement systematic problem-solving approaches for better future state
• Create Work instructions and SOPs
• Participate in development / standardization of quality and safety procedures within the Sheet Metal Department
• Support area supervisors with tasks/project work to help achieving SMD goals
• Must have the ability to understand and communicate information effectively both verbally and electronically
