About The Position

This role serves as the site security business partner for major tier one facilities, offices, and laboratories. The Manufacturing Site Security Leader is responsible for implementing strategy, ensuring the use of effective tactics to assess and mitigate risk, driving situational and threat awareness, and continuously improving the level of security through documented processes, SOPs, and best practices. This role requires problem-solving and analysis skills to manage and deliver tactical security objectives, align with senior management, and support employees in meeting their security responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Homeland Security, Security Management, Intelligence and Policy Analysis or other closely related fields or local equivalent required.
  • 7 to 10 years of full-time experience leading and executing high-level security responsibilities is required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years leading teams or direct people management is required.

Responsibilities

  • Owns local site security operations activities related to the protection of individuals, assets, and property, ensuring high quality, effective, and uninterrupted security coverage.
  • Ensures security-related activities are executed in accordance with budgetary and strategic plans.
  • Develops, implements, and manages site-level security processes, practices, and policies; establishes and implements calibrated standards and controls.
  • Serves as the local manager for security-related crises and incidents.
  • Implements state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard personnel and assets, including intellectual property and trade secrets.
  • Determines site operational expenses and manages forecasts.
  • Develops and delivers appropriate threat and awareness training, and administers training necessary for compliance to security requirements.
  • Briefs site leadership teams and management on the status of security issues.
  • Supports local and regional global security assessment plans and organizes, conducts, and delivers written security assessment presentations and reports.
  • Manages response to issues involving troubling persons and situations, security-related crises or incidents and associated legal matters as needed.
  • Writes, reviews, and/or submits formal security-related documentation such as incident reports, summaries, program proposals/recommendations, and other formal written communications.
  • Compiles annual site risk assessment and creates detailed recommended courses of action to improve security levels.
  • Implements approved courses of action to improve security levels.
  • Collaborates on internal investigations and conducts interviews as needed.
  • Develops working relationships with law enforcement and other regulatory agencies.
  • Conducts investigations into security-related breaches and incidents as needed.
  • Develops and maintains solid cross-functional working relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Must be on call 24/7 to discuss and/or respond to anomalies, events, or emergencies.
  • Acts with integrity and exercises sound independent judgment in the course of carrying out overall responsibilities and other activities as assigned.
