About The Position

The Site Leader must be a visionary leader, actively engaging in all aspects of the site to drive results. A successful candidate will be sensitive to current business culture, over communicating and eliciting employee feedback to ensure the team knows what, why and how changes will be implemented to drive results. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to be responsible for all aspects and functions of running a manufacturing facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all manufacturing and support operations (quality, maintenance, tool room, etc.) to ensure production meets the required deadlines, quality standards and is completed within the operational budget Responsible for safety, quality, manufacturing engineering, cost improvement, and employee engagement at the manufacturing facility Manage, in collaboration with the President, the entire procurement process and range of activities from sourcing, purchasing, negotiating, acquisition, risk management, and sustainability Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, and customer service to provide best in class products, services, and responses/resolutions Lead in the development of a problem-solving culture Champion continuous improvement efforts by finding root causes, issuing corrective actions, and implementing refined operating processes Translate corporate business objectives into actionable plant goals, evaluating new technologies or capacity scaling for long-term growth Provide leadership through effective communication, coaching, training and development of teams Implement continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, safety, quality, cost reduction, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
  • 8 plus years' experience in the manufacture and assembly of medical device, precision instruments, experience in plastics/molding also helpful
  • Proven skills in leading and managing multi-shift production, with both entry level assembly and semi-skilled & skilled machine operations, quality assurance, continuous improvement, inventory management, safety, and change initiatives with a wide array of products and very different manufacturing processes
  • MUST have Lean manufacturing experience with exposure to Six Sigma, green or black belt certification preferred

  • FDA regulated dental lab or medical device experience plus
