About The Position

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager - Nights to join our Cummins Inc. team in Columbus, IN. In this role, you will lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets. You will coach and develop team members to strengthen performance, engagement, and accountability. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement process and safety improvements. You will foster a culture of health and safety through proactive risk identification and corrective action. You will guide teams through problem-solving activities to address operational challenges and prevent recurrence. You will support high-quality manufacturing outcomes by monitoring performance and resolving production issues. You will build an inclusive, results-driven environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and shared success.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate production teams while driving accountability and results.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Experience championing workplace safety, incident prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to prioritize work, remove obstacles, and execute operational goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to build strong team relationships, manage conflict effectively, and foster an engaged and inclusive culture.
  • College, university or equivalent degree required, or equivalent experience required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, adaptability, and communication skills while effectively managing priorities and team dynamics.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, engagement, and continuous learning.
