About The Position

This role is responsible for packaging brick products according to established production, quality, and safety requirements. The position involves preparing, handling, stacking, wrapping, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment. The individual will also cross-train and provide coverage as a Packager and a Shipping Hilo Operator when needed, and assist with other shipping and manufacturing activities as assigned. Safely operating equipment and machinery after training, following all company safety policies and PPE requirements, performing quality checks, maintaining a clean work area, following production schedules, and working cooperatively with others are key aspects of this role.

Requires lifting up to 10 pounds more than 2/3 of the time; and lifting more than 100 pounds less than 1/3 of the time.
Requires accurate close, distance, color and peripheral vision, including the ability to adjust focus and use peripheral vision.
Requires working near moving mechanical parts, and being exposed to fumes, airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions.
Requires working in wet or humid conditions, in extreme heat or cold, and exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
Requires working in very loud noise levels.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, or shipping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Package brick products according to established production, quality, and safety requirements.
Perform duties of a Packager, including preparing, handling, stacking, wrapping, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment.
Cross-train and provide coverage as a Pack Tech when needed.
Cross-train and provide coverage as a Shipping Hilo Operator when needed.
Assist with other Shipping and manufacturing activities as assigned.
Safely operate equipment and machinery associated with assigned duties after completing required training.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Perform quality checks and report product or packaging issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow production schedules, work instructions, and established procedures.
Work cooperatively with other employees and departments to support daily operations.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business and operational needs.
