This position is accountable for the supervision and management of Production personnel, equipment, and materials of the Performance Products Group, within a framework of safety, high productivity, high quality and yields, continuous improvement, and product delivery commitments. We operate under AS-9500 quality standard and familiarity with an ISO quality environment and requirements is a plus. Position includes hiring and training of subordinates using the Learning System, monitoring processes, reporting and investigation of safety issues (root cause analysis & implementing corrective measures), scheduling resources and prioritizing workflow through the manufacturing area. Interacts with other departments to assure the safe production and shipment of quality products while meeting and exceeding customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Associates or BA/BS Degree
  • Strong supervisory management skills
  • A technical background related to vacuum deposition or equivalent experience working in a vacuum coating area.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with co-workers, technicians, other departments (Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, Process, etc) and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule the production of quality products to meet customer delivery requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with an ISO quality environment and requirements.
