About The Position

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Manufacturing Sales Representative to drive new business growth. We are looking for a true go-getter who thrives on prospecting, opening doors, building relationships, and creating opportunities. This is a hunter-focused role ideal for someone with experience in industrial, automation, controls, electrical, or technical sales who enjoys developing new business and building a strong book of business.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience in industrial, automation, controls, electrical, technical, or manufacturing-related sales environments
  • Experience developing new business through prospecting and relationship building
  • Comfortable making cold calls, setting appointments, and creating opportunities with new customers
  • Experience identifying and engaging key decision-makers within industrial and manufacturing organizations preferred
  • Experience using CRM software (HubSpot preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Background in automation sales, industrial sales, controls, panel systems, or electrical products preferred
  • Experience selling project-based solutions is a plus
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new business opportunities within industrial and manufacturing markets
  • Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals, and business development activities
  • Open doors with key decision-makers and generate qualified opportunities
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings to present manufacturing capabilities and solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Identify customer needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop appropriate manufacturing solutions
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts
  • Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support customer requirements
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to generate leads and increase market visibility
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the CRM system
  • Support the growth of control panel and enclosure business, with future opportunities involving wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and PCB assemblies
