Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - Moline Function: Environment, Health, Safety (CA) Title: Manufacturing Safety Lead - 117535 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Manufacturing Safety Lead for John Deere Power Systems located in Moline, IL, you will: Align with and support the Vice President, Manufacturing Lead to manage safety priorities within assigned business units Proactively leads safety initiatives including innovative risk reduction activities, communications, implementation of policies, metrics, recordkeeping and key safety processes and standards Provide technical support and professional expertise to unit management and safety professionals Act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for regulatory compliance and Deere Safety standards and programs Act as a Liaison with other key stakeholders across the business unit to ensure successful execution of safety programs and priorities Lead consistent implementation of corporate standards, strategies, and initiatives to units within the assigned business area VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this position

Requirements

  • Expert level technical experience on providing safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and incident management guidance to an organization
  • 10 or more years of proven experience in managing comprehensive health and safety programs, including high level risk reduction strategies
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead and execute change across multiple units
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on business needs
  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent related work experience

  • Experience working with organized labor groups to implement safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Expert level technical experience on providing guidance to a team on case management, mediation, and litigation
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing cultural strategies (i.e., Human and Organizational Performance) across multiple units
  • Experience supporting multiple units on a global scale

Responsibilities
