Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Quality Technician to support quality operations within our industrial control panel manufacturing facility. This role will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership to ensure products meet customer requirements, company standards, and regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, solving problems, and working directly with employees to improve quality processes. This position will spend the majority of its time supporting production through inspections, process audits, nonconformance management, and continuous improvement activities. This is a highly visible role that will help drive quality performance and maintain manufacturing excellence throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Competent in reading electrical schematics
  • Competent in reading mechanical drawings
  • Competent in using measuring equipment
  • Competent in using Microsoft Excel
  • Competent in using ERP/MRP systems or the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 1+ years of quality inspection experience preferred
  • Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment preferred
  • Experience with industrial control panels or electrical assemblies strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of materials and components as required
  • Perform in-process inspections during production as required
  • Perform final inspections of completed control panels and assemblies
  • Verify workmanship standards are met
  • Verify documentation packages are complete and accurate
  • Verify labeling requirements are met
  • Ensure customer-specific requirements are satisfied prior to shipment
  • Conduct routine process audits throughout manufacturing operations
  • Verify employees are following established work instructions and procedures
  • Audit critical manufacturing processes to identify risks before they become defects
  • Identify recurring process gaps and escalate findings appropriately
  • Document audit findings and support corrective action implementation
  • Assist in standardizing best practices across manufacturing operations
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials
  • Create Nonconformance Reports (NCMRs)
  • Segregate and properly identify defective materials
  • Coordinate disposition activities with Quality, Engineering, and Production as needed
  • Collect and maintain quality data
  • Support blocked stock management activities
  • Maintain inspection records
  • Assist with KPI trend analysis activities
  • Support quality dashboards and visual management systems
  • Assist with internal audits
  • Support ISO 9001 activities
  • Support Intertek ETL requirements
  • Ensure required records are properly maintained
  • Support document control activities
  • Support implementation and maintenance of workmanship standards
  • Verify manufacturing processes are being followed
  • Verify work instructions are current and being utilized
  • Escalate recurring process issues
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for error-proofing
  • Participate in root cause investigations
  • Assist with corrective action implementation
  • Support process improvement projects
  • Help identify opportunities to reduce defects and rework
  • Support Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Assist in training employees on quality expectations
  • Reinforce workmanship standards on the manufacturing floor
