About The Position

We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality of specific parts in accordance with established company and customer standards, providing clear verbal and written test results to management and production staff. You will read and interpret drawings, perform inspections with a variety of instruments, review supplier certifications, maintain accurate records, and coordinate tasks efficiently while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.   • Equivalent work experience considered; completion of a related two-year vocational program with two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating and/or programming CMMs using PC-DMIS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GD&T concepts; aerospace or defense industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications, then select and apply appropriate inspection equipment and techniques.
  • Use a variety of inspection instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMMs, etc.) and calculations to verify conformity to blueprints.
  • Perform visual inspections under magnification.
  • Review certifications from suppliers and vendors for compliance with specifications.
  • Evaluate quality of work and ensure acceptability, consistently meeting time and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results using company databases.
  • Coordinate work to ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in order of priority.
  • Proactively seek additional duties and suggest solutions to potential issues.
