This role is responsible for coordinating all inspection activities on the respective shift, including dispositioning of materials. The supervisor will conduct and document investigations, oversee day-to-day operations, and implement quality and process improvement initiatives. They will also develop systems to improve inspection and sampling productivity, ensure the availability of necessary materials, and conduct training on cGMP and on-the-job procedures. The position involves assisting with customer complaint investigations, conducting internal audits, performing inspections, and root cause analysis for manufacturing holds/deviations, providing preventative actions, and assisting other departments with troubleshooting. The role also includes coordinating rework, tracking deviations and holds, and reviewing/updating SOPs to ensure cGMP compliance. The supervisor is responsible for enforcing policies, safety rules, FSMA standards, and GMPs, and driving continuous improvement. Key performance indicators in manufacturing quality must be met or exceeded, with daily productivity measured against goals. The role supports positive employee relations, fair treatment, and respect, and actively engages in team performance management, coaching, and mentoring. Participation in Tier II meetings and timely closure of investigations are expected. The supervisor will delegate daily tasks, and create, update, and review various documentation including SOPs, WIs, and MMRs. Food safety and regulatory responsibilities are critical, requiring immediate notification and resolution of any actual or potential food safety issues. Compliance with safety and GMP requirements is mandatory.
