This role is responsible for coordinating all inspection activities on the respective shift, including dispositioning of materials. The supervisor will conduct and document investigations, oversee day-to-day operations, and implement quality and process improvement initiatives. They will also develop systems to improve inspection and sampling productivity, ensure the availability of necessary materials, and train personnel on cGMP and job functions. Additionally, the role involves assisting with customer complaint investigations, conducting internal audits, performing inspections, root cause analysis, and providing preventative measures for manufacturing deviations. The supervisor will also support Packaging and Processing departments, coordinate rework, track deviations and holds, and review/update departmental SOPs to ensure cGMP compliance. This position ensures policies, safety rules, FSMA standards, and GMPs are followed and enforced, promoting a continuous improvement towards an injury-free environment. The role actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives, meets or exceeds key performance indicators, and supports positive employee relations through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. The supervisor is accountable for food safety and regulatory responsibilities, identifying and notifying management of potential food safety issues, and resolving them within their scope of work.
