This role coordinates all inspection activities on the respective shift, including dispositioning of materials. The supervisor conducts and documents investigations, oversees the day-to-day operation of assigned areas to ensure smooth flow and efficient production, and implements quality and process improvement initiatives. They are responsible for developing and implementing systems to improve inspection and sampling productivity, ensuring the availability of necessary materials, and conducting training on cGMP and on-the-job procedures. The position also assists with customer complaint investigations, conducts internal audits for cGMP compliance, performs inspections and root cause analysis on manufacturing holds/deviations, and provides preventative action measures. Additionally, the supervisor assists other departments with troubleshooting, coordinates rework, tracks deviations and holds, and reviews/updates departmental SOPs to ensure cGMP compliance. They are accountable for food safety and regulatory responsibilities, identifying and resolving food safety issues, and complying with safety and GMP requirements. The role directly supervises MQ employees on the shift, ensuring compliance with all production rules, policies, government regulations, and company health and safety rules. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving problems.
