This role is responsible for coordinating all inspection activities on the respective shift, including dispositioning of materials. The Manufacturing Quality Supervisor I oversees and monitors the day-to-day operation of assigned areas, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient production. They implement quality and process improvement initiatives, develop systems to enhance inspection and sampling productivity, and ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies. The position also involves training personnel on cGMP and on-the-job procedures, assisting with customer complaint investigations, and conducting internal audits for cGMP compliance. Additionally, the role performs inspections, root cause analysis on manufacturing holds/deviations, and provides preventative actions. The supervisor assists other departments with troubleshooting, coordinates rework implementation, and tracks deviations and holds. They are responsible for reviewing and updating departmental SOPs to ensure cGMP compliance, enforcing policies, safety rules, FSMA standards, and GMPs, and promoting a continuous improvement culture for an injury-free environment. Key performance indicators in the manufacturing quality area must be met or exceeded, with daily productivity measured against standards. The role supports positive employee relations, fair treatment, and respect, acting as a coach and mentor to the team, and actively participating in Tier II meetings. The supervisor is accountable for food safety and regulatory responsibilities, identifying and notifying management of potential food safety issues, and resolving them within their scope of work.
