About The Position

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will serve as a key quality liaison between manufacturing plants and component suppliers, ensuring effective communication and alignment on quality-related issues. This role involves performing product inspections, implementing containment actions, analyzing quality data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and continuous quality improvements. The engineer will also lead and coordinate corrective actions for customer and internal quality issues, act as a quality ambassador promoting Built-In Quality principles, and support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, improve product quality, and reduce defects. Additionally, the role requires managing customer relationships, applying structured problem-solving methodologies, and leveraging Office 365 tools for data analysis and progress tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality standards, quality systems, and manufacturing operations within a production environment.
  • Proven experience applying 8D methodology or other structured problem-solving techniques to investigate and resolve manufacturing quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze quality data, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve product and process quality.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key quality liaison between manufacturing plants and component suppliers, ensuring effective communication and alignment on quality-related issues.
  • Perform product inspections, implement containment actions, analyze quality data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and continuous quality improvements.
  • Lead and coordinate timely emergency, interim, and permanent corrective actions for customer and internal quality issues, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a quality ambassador, mentor, and sub-workstream leader, promoting End-to-End (E2E) Built-In Quality principles across the organization.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and projects, leveraging Office 365 tools to track progress, analyze data, and enhance operational performance.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, improve product quality, and reduce defects.
  • Manage internal and external customer relationships in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering teams, ensuring prompt resolution of quality concerns.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies and quality tools, including Six Sigma and 8D, to investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and sustain process improvements.
