About The Position

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer provides oversight and guidance in manufacturing operations to meet product engineering specs. The Quality Engineer coaches manufacturing personnel on proper compliance and empowers them to identify and escalate quality defects related to functional and cosmetic specs. The Quality Engineer plays a part in the design of our products and also ensures that our process is as efficient as possible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Failure Analysis and RMA process experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Quality audit techniques, ISO 9001, and AQL Inspection Sampling
  • Skilled in team building and demonstrated experience in effectively working with cross-functional teams to get results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to solve problems by identifying relevant facts and key issues rapidly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in new product design reviews through the development stage; document key design changes to ensure successful manufacturing implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Primary engineering owner for all DFM (Design for Manufacturing) engineering reviews.
  • Golden server sample review and BOM verification
  • Create work instructions and deliver regular training to the production team.
  • Review and approve manufacturing-related documentation including server assembly manuals, etc.
  • Leveraging your manufacturing engineering know-how, develop and implement manufacturing test engineering plans.
  • In collaboration with other functions, deliver the design of fixtures, tooling, and test equipment for manufacturing.
  • Lead LEAN initiatives and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements.
  • Establish Assembly line Yield targets, measure, and track Line improvements.
  • Drive Assembly line Investigations, related to Internal Audits, Customer Audits, and ISO audits.
  • Lead the QC Test and Repair engineering teams in finding the Root cause for systemic repeat test failure
