About The Position

Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) seeks a motivated professional to drive quality robustness across our engineering factory. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in quality deliverables including PFMEAs, Control Plans, error-proofing strategies, engineering standards, and new program launch requirements. They will lead efforts to improve and maximize equipment and process performance for existing manufacturing systems in the machining, assembly and test operations. They may support PTME launch teams through coaching, training, technical deep dives, and enhancements to engineering standards. Additionally, they will collaborate with global teams to resolve powertrain launch quality concerns and execute continuous improvement initiatives. At Ford Motor Company, quality is at the heart of everything we build. As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer and Powertrain Quality Leader, you will drive the application and continuous improvement of quality systems across our powertrain manufacturing operations. The focus will be on machining, assembly and test systems within the Powertrain Manufacturing Staff Organization. Partnering with Product Design, Global and Plant Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Warranty teams, you will proactively reduce and eliminate data-driven quality issues and manufacturing risks, enhance process robustness, and reinforce quality systems through robust PFMEAs, Control Plans, and standardized documentation. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, coach cross-functional teams, audit quality processes, and champion operational excellence to deliver flawless product launches, maximize customer satisfaction, and significantly reduce warranty and manufacturing losses.
