About The Position

This role will take all necessary actions to make sure that a product or service will satisfy customer requirements and is the driving force in implementing continuous quality improvement. This involves the Quality Excellence of the Offers delivered to the customers, the Quality Excellence of Supply Chain (from Supplier to Customers), and the timely and effective management of customer containment actions (Business Risk Escalation, Offer Safety Alerts etc.). There will be up to 15% travel during the first 9–12 months to support product line relocation and project execution activities. The percentage of travel will be minimal after this time period, fully supporting our Fairfield, OH facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic etc.)
  • 3 + years of experience with manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with 8D problem solving methodology, tool utilization (i.e. 5Why, fishbone (cause and effect), etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma knowledge, experience, certification highly desired
  • Experience on ESD desired.

Responsibilities

  • In charge of the Quality of one or several sectors
  • Ensure that the Process Control Plan is applied and consistent with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Challenge supervisors to identify and manage risks in a preventive mode
  • Be the local expert of the traceability system for the manufacturing floor
  • Lead Process Audits and Process FMEAs
  • Create and maintain quality control documentation, ensure related training and application in the sector
  • Lead continuous improvement on its perimeter
  • Lead containment actions, root cause analysis of quality issue and problem solving on his sector
  • Be a member of the Short Interval Management (of the production lines)
  • Provide solutions to increase Customer Satisfaction
  • Provide input and challenges about quality for new evolution, contribute to process/control capability implementation.
  • Be the local expert of the assembled products in his sector
