About The Position

G&W Products is seeking a Manufacturing / Quality Engineer to support and continuously improve manufacturing quality, dimensional integrity, and inspection capability across our operations. This role owns the interface between engineering, manufacturing, and quality—ensuring parts are producible, measurable, and compliant to customer and internal requirements. The Manufacturing / Quality Engineer is responsible for defining and executing inspection strategies, developing and maintaining inspection programs using PolyWorks, and supporting production through effective dimensional troubleshooting and data-driven corrective action. This role serves a critical interface within the Quality and Engineering ecosystem, serving as a technical authority in inspection while actively contributing to process robustness, repeatability, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years combined experience and training within a Manufacturing/Quality Engineer Role
  • 2 years of hands‑on PolyWorks programming experience
  • Experience with DataLoop or inspection data management system
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with dimensional inspection techniques and measurement equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work independently while supporting cross‑functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience mentoring or training others in metrology or inspection software
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or quality system environments (ISO‑based organizations)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, create, and maintain inspection programs using PolyWorks for: Portable CMM arms, 3D scanning systems, Fixed CMMs
  • Generate clear, accurate, and professional inspection reports to support production, quality, and customer requirements
  • Demonstrate strong understanding and application of GD&T and dimensional inspection methodologies
  • Support, mentor and train inspectors on PolyWorks usage, best practices, and metrology techniques
  • Manage and maintain inspection programs and datasets within the PolyWorks DataLoop environment
  • Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to improve inspection robustness, repeatability, and efficiency
  • Proactively develop technical skills and stay current with metrology tools, software updates, and inspection best practices
