About The Position

We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Control Engineer to support the implementation of Smart Torque Tool systems across manufacturing plants in North America. This role will focus on evaluating existing assembly processes, developing quality control plans, validating torque processes, and supporting deployment activities to improve manufacturing quality and traceability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing quality systems and enjoy working onsite in plant environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality or process engineering.
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, PFMEA, control plans, and process validation.
Experience in assembly manufacturing environments.
Willingness to travel extensively across North America.

Nice To Haves

Experience with torque tools, smart tooling, or industrial automation systems.
Familiarity with MES systems and manufacturing traceability concepts.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct onsite manufacturing line assessments and evaluate current torque processes.
Develop quality control plans for transitioning from conventional to smart torque tools.
Identify tool requirements, quality checkpoints, and process improvements.
Support implementation, validation, and commissioning of smart torque tooling systems.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams during deployment activities.
Assist in troubleshooting quality and process issues during rollout.
Support process documentation, training, and compliance activities.
Monitor implementation effectiveness and support continuous improvement initiatives.
