Requirements

  • Technical Leadership and Understanding
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of inventory, shipping and receiving
  • Advanced knowledge of various manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s system infrastructure (Project Tracking, ERP, PDM, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve

  • 4+ years’ Experience in manufacturing or industrial background (preferred)
  • 4+ years’ Experience overseeing project management of manufactured systems
  • Experience or certification with lean processes and data analysis
  • Data/inventory management system experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft sweet processes
  • Eperience with Production Planning

Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall project execution plan from PO receipt through design, production, shipment, installation, and final acceptance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the customer from receipt of PO until project completion.
  • Lead internal project kick-off aligning Sales, Design, Production, and logistics.
  • Maintain constant communication across all involved departments to prevent missed handoffs and unresolved dependencies.
  • Balance competing project priorities and escalate capacity and resource conflicts.
  • Develop recovery actions when delivery dates are at risk, such as reprioritizing work and resources, and/or utilizing external capacity.
  • Prepare regular project reports covering schedule status, budget status, resource needs, risks, key decisions and customer commitments.
  • Utilize proper tools to create a clear visual of project requirements and status to critical teams.
  • Track and communicate manufacturing KPI’s and achievements on a daily report.
  • Create and maintain a detailed project schedule with clear milestones, dependencies, lead times, and critical-path activities.
  • Facilitate job and workorder release to manufacturing.
  • Plan and reserve time for design, purchasing, manufacturing, assembly labour, testing, quality inspection, shipping, installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate production schedules with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers or manufacturing partners.
  • Maintain a rolling resource forecast to anticipate upcoming workload and capacities.
  • Support the proper utilization of company ERP system and data tracking.
  • Track actual costs against budget including engineering time, labour, materials, purchased components, subcontracting, freight, travel, installation and rework.
  • Translate the project schedule into a purchasing and material-readiness plan.
  • Ensure long lead-time materials and critical components are identified and ordered early.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing on supplier lead times, order status, expediting needs, and supply risks.
  • Act according to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission and routines.
  • Travel to both Piab and external parties’ global destinations when applicable.
