About The Position

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft. This position is onsite at Bell’s Drive System Center (DSC) in Grand Prairie, Texas. The Operations Planning and Control Team at the Drive Systems Center is responsible for ensuring materials, both procured and manufactured internally, are positioned for on-time delivery to Gearbox Assembly, other Bell sites, and Spares Customers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering in aerospace or related manufacturing industry (such as these industries: electronics, automotive or components).
Experience guiding the successful completion of scheduling for manufacturing projects.
Able to apply engineering design to manufacturing.
Able to manage complex projects (using MS Project or similar tool) through a disciplined approach to initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria.
Able to self-initiate tasks and courses of action to develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission critical objectives.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with scheduling tool orders is preferred.
CNC Programming / NC Programming experience preferred.
Knowledge of military and commercial aircraft systems preferred.
Analysis knowledge to evaluate discrepancies and anomalies preferred.
Knowledge and/or expertise in several manufacturing technologies to include, but not limited to the following: Gear and Transmission Drive Systems - metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, tool application, equipment, and product verification; Aero-structure – Airframe design; Electrical and Mechanical Systems – design, integration and installation; Tail, Main and Prop Rotor Blade Systems - design of metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and bonded assembly manufacturing processes, tool integration, equipment, and product verification; Manufacturing Execution Systems - process specifications, CAD/CAM; production planning, material requirements scheduling

Responsibilities

Guides the successful completion of major scheduling projects in support of strategic priorities and complex technical objectives, and applies advanced manufacturing technical principles, theories and concepts to the development of innovative manufacturing technology on existing or advanced designs, concepts, processes, systems and tools.
Representing Production Engineering as prime manufacturing technical contact on advanced projects and/or programs coordinating manufacturing technology deliverables between functional organizations.
