All-Clad has a number of departments/cells within the plant that have specific jobs in creating and assembling the cookware from start to finish. These union laborer jobs include tasks in Clad (conditioning and assembling metal sheets, feeding into a mill, clipping, and inspecting), Forming (operating machines like hydraulic presses and hilite machines, inspecting for defects), Finishing (operating rotary buffing machines, dry hiliting), Assembly (folding boxes, riveting handles, inspecting, bagging, packing, and stacking), Lid Line (operating a press, running COSMAP housing, inspecting, cleaning, riveting handles, and packaging), and In-Line (forming and hilting interiors, conditioning exteriors, buffing and polishing). Most roles require lifting, frequent manual handling, and standing for up to 10 hours a day, necessitating physical fitness. On-the-job training is provided for machinery operation.
