About The Position

All-Clad has a number of departments/cells within the plant that have specific jobs in creating and assembling the cookware from start to finish. These union laborer jobs include tasks in Clad (conditioning and assembling metal sheets, feeding into a mill, clipping, and inspecting), Forming (operating machines like hydraulic presses and hilite machines, inspecting for defects), Finishing (operating rotary buffing machines, dry hiliting), Assembly (folding boxes, riveting handles, inspecting, bagging, packing, and stacking), Lid Line (operating a press, running COSMAP housing, inspecting, cleaning, riveting handles, and packaging), and In-Line (forming and hilting interiors, conditioning exteriors, buffing and polishing). Most roles require lifting, frequent manual handling, and standing for up to 10 hours a day, necessitating physical fitness. On-the-job training is provided for machinery operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must have own reliable transportation (not on a bus line)
  • Must be available to work mandatory overtime (48 or 50-hour week, may include Saturdays)
  • Must be available to work on any given Saturday
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a one-hour physical fitness test
  • Must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of production labor experience in a factory, plant, or warehouse setting
  • At least 3 years of metal manufacturing experience using machinery or equipment

Responsibilities

  • Conditioning and assembling metal sheets
  • Feeding metal sheets into a mill to bond them
  • Clipping and inspecting bonded metal sheets
  • Operating stamping machines to cut discs
  • Running hydraulic presses to form products
  • Operating hilite machines to condition product surfaces
  • Inspecting products for marks or defects
  • Operating large rotary buffing machines to polish cookware
  • Dry hiliting cookware pieces as a final finish
  • Folding cardboard to create packaging boxes
  • Riveting handles onto pots and pans
  • Inspecting and bagging cookware
  • Packing and stacking boxes onto skids
  • Operating a press to form lids
  • Running COSMAP housing to sand lids
  • Cleaning products
  • Riveting handles onto lids
  • Packaging lids
  • Forming and hilting the interior of products using state-of-the-art equipment
  • Feeding pieces onto a conveyor for exterior conditioning
  • Running COSMAP housing to buff and polish products
  • Lifting and frequent manual handling of material and product
  • Standing for up to 10 hours a day
  • Receiving on-the-job training for machinery operation
