Specialty Appliances Orthodontic Lab makes custom-fit, handmade orthodontic appliances for children and adults according to orthodontists’ prescriptions. The role involves hands-on production work, with on-the-job training provided for people without prior experience. Depending on the assignment, employees bend wires with pliers, polish stainless steel orthodontic appliances, or join appliance components using a laser-welding machine with scopes. The work also includes collecting and delivering cases to and from shelves. Employees sit for most of the day and perform steady hand and arm movements. This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM and an eight-hour shift.
