About The Position

Emerald Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Production Planner for its San Jose, California team. The role supports smooth production by ensuring appropriate parts are available and ready, and by planning, scheduling, and coordinating production to fulfill customer orders. The planner works with Purchasing, Quality Control, Warehouse, Production, and other departments, reports production status and issues to upper management, addresses disruptions and productivity problems, and identifies ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.

The position is with an electronics manufacturing services provider focused on high-reliability electronic assemblies. Access to information subject to U.S. export control regulations is required, so applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
• Math and analytical skills.
• Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at all levels.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Deadline-driven.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production of company products.
• Evaluate raw materials to ensure everything is in place for production.
• Report production status and issues to upper management.
• Handle production disruptions and productivity problems.
• Find ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Collaborate and communicate with Purchasing, Quality Control, Warehouse, Production, and other departments to schedule and fulfill customer orders.
