About The Position

Bake'n Joy Foods, Inc., a family-owned and operated manufacturer of top-quality bakery products for over eighty years, is seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join their 2nd Shift Manufacturing Team. This team plays a critical role in producing high-quality bakery products, maintaining efficient operations, and ensuring production lines are set up for success. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, values safety and quality, and is willing to work a flexible schedule to help meet production goals. Opportunities are available for Group Leaders, Machine Operators, Batch Makers, Oven Attendants, and Pan Washers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety and production procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or bakery experience.
  • Experience operating production or packaging equipment.
  • Experience with material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand jacks.
  • Food manufacturing, GMP, HACCP, or food safety training.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience for Group Leader opportunities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot production and packaging equipment.
  • Set up machinery and production lines according to product specifications.
  • Monitor oven temperatures, machine settings, production speeds, and product quality.
  • Prepare and produce ingredient batches by accurately following formulas and production instructions.
  • Support packaging, palletizing, and movement of finished products throughout the facility.
  • Perform quality checks on ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.
  • Monitor product characteristics such as color, texture, consistency, aroma, and appearance.
  • Complete required production, quality, and traceability documentation.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or process improvements.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, allergen, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Support wash-down, cleaning, and sanitation activities as required.
  • Assign daily work responsibilities and coordinate staffing needs (Group Leader Position).
  • Coach and mentor team members on production, safety, and quality procedures (Group Leader Position).
  • Monitor productivity and workflow to meet production schedules (Group Leader Position).
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to ensure efficient operations (Group Leader Position).
