About The Position

The Manufacturing Product Manager will own manufactured products from idea through long-term performance, turning modular mechanical systems into real, repeatable offerings that can be built in the shop and sold to customers. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle, from early concept and design through production, launch, and ongoing improvement, aiming to create products that are practical to build, cost-effective, and scalable. The position involves working across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, estimating, and sales to lead products from concept through prototype, production release, and ongoing support. Responsibilities include coordinating with various departments to ensure products are buildable and repeatable, defining product scope and requirements, supporting supplier and component decisions, and driving improvements post-launch. The goal is to move the business toward more product-driven manufacturing within a practical, evolving environment.

Requirements

  • Experience developing physical, manufactured products in fabrication or modular environments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM-driven products, and supply chain coordination
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Comfortable working from early concept through production and real-world feedback
  • Senior leadership experience overseeing multi‑facility manufacturing or fabrication operations.
  • A solid background in mechanical fabrication, modular construction, or industrialized construction.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations, capacity planning, and production flow
  • Ability to influence and align teams across regions
  • Experience working across manufacturing, engineering, and construction environments
  • A practical, outcomes-focused approach to leadership

  • Experience commercializing products for external customers preferred
  • Exposure to manufacturing cost structures and pricing valued

Responsibilities

  • Leading products from concept through prototype, production release, and ongoing support
  • Coordinating with engineering, shop leadership, and supply chain to ensure products are buildable and repeatable
  • Defining product scope, requirements, and standard configurations to support consistent estimating and manufacturing
  • Supporting supplier and component decisions alongside purchasing and external partners
  • Driving improvements after launch based on shop feedback, customer input, and cost or quality performance
