Requirements

  • Must have 5 years related experience.
  • Must have good computer/software skills.
  • Must be able to read and write PLC Ladder Logic.
  • Must be able to read and write electrical schematics.
  • Must have knowledge of computer programming (ex. basic).
  • Must have excellent attendance and good work history.
  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically).
  • Able to work safely in a production environment, around moving mechanical parts, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and troubleshoot Lining equipment to ensure efficient operation in order to meet production needs.
  • Maintenance and development of new tooling, machines, and other equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining older machines and equipment.
  • Assist in training of mechanics and operators to ensure that they have complete knowledge of process.
  • Research and install new technology that will help the quality and productivity levels. This may include fiber-optics, controls, PLC, vision systems and drives.
  • Assist in managing shift.
  • Work with outside vendor and subcontracting machine shop and sheet metal work.
  • Troubleshoot all electrical and PLC problems in the department.
  • Install sensor systems and diverters on machines to improve productivity.
  • Responsible for supervising hourly mechanics, work assignments and monitoring productivity.
  • Must perform any other assigned duties.
  • Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.
